UNCOVERED WELLS
Sec. 1.
Owners of land whereon is located an abandoned well or a well in use, shall either provide a covering for such well capable of sustaining a weight of three hundred (300) pounds, or shall fill the abandoned well with solid fill to the level of the ground. In accordance with Chapter 40, Section 21(20)of the General Laws, the penalty for violation of this By-Law shall be a fine of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
