OBTAINING COPIES OF VITAL RECORDS
BIRTHS
The Town Clerk’s Office maintains birth records from 1852 to present of births that occurred in Hanson and birth records of individuals whose parents resided in Hanson at the time of the birth.
· Certified copies may be obtained in person or by mail for a fee of $5.00 each.
· Certain records are restricted from public access. Identification may be required for processing some requests.
· ONLY CERTIFIED COPIES are issued by the Town Clerk’s office, regardless of intended use.
DEATHS
The Town Clerk’s Office maintains death records from 1852 to present of deaths that occurred in Hanson and death records of those individuals who were residents of Hanson at the time of their death and that the death occurred in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
· Certified copies may be obtained in person or by mail for a fee of $5.00 each.
· ONLY CERTIFIED COPIES are issued by the Town Clerk’s office, regardless of intended use.
MARRIAGES
The Town Clerk’s Office maintains marriage records from 1852 to present of those who filed their marriage intentions with the Hanson Town Clerk .
· Certified copies may be obtained in person or by mail for a fee of $5.00 each.
· Certain records are restricted from public access. Identification may be required for processing some requests.
· ONLY CERTIFIED COPIES are issued by the Town Clerk’s office, regardless of intended use.
