BURNING PERMITS AVAILABLE
JANUARY 15TH
Hanson Fire Dept. has begun issuing open air burning permits for the 2005.
Open burning will begin on Saturday, January 15th.
Permits are $20.00 by check only and may only be obtained at the Liberty Street Station between 8:30 AM and 5 PM Monday through Saturday. Cash will not be accepted.
Open burning season runs from January 15th to April 30th.
Persons applying for permits must provide proof that they are the property owner or have a letter addressed to them from the property owner, giving them permission to burn.
Open burning is for brush and prunings created from residential land only. Leaves, trash, construction materials or burning for land clearing are not allowed.
Burning may only be done between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
There are other regulations, which are printed on the permit.
You must call each time you burn to insure that burning is allowed for that particular day.
