The SHINE Program is a network of volunteer health benefit counselors who have been trained and certified by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs training staff. These counselors provide information, counseling and assistance regarding health insurance and benefit programs to elders and their family members. This service is provided in Senior Centers, Council on Aging, Area Agencies on Aging, Aging Service Access Points, community hospitals and other community-based sites. Services can also be arranged to beneficiaries in their homes. Barbara and Judy are SHINE counselors at the Hanson Senior Center. Call or stop by to make an appointment.
