What Is It?
It is a program of social activities for elders requiring daytime supervision and non-medical assistance due to physical, social and /or emotional problems.
The program is designed specifically for elders who are able to care for their personal needs, but who are isolated due to lack of either formal or informal supports and/or who may be subject to periods of confusion and disorientation. The program also provides relief for families caring for frail elders in their homes. This service is designed to alleviate the stress on caregivers and provide support for the total family unit.
WHO MAY ATTEND?
This program is open to residents of Hanson and the surrounding communities who are 60 years of age or older or in need of socialized care during the day..
WHEN AND WHERE?
Hours of operation are from 9:00 to 3:00 daily, Monday through Friday.We are located at 132 Maquan St. Hanson, Ma. 02341.
We recommend a minimum of two days.
WHAT IS THE COST AND WHO PAYS?
The current fee is $ 30.00 per day and includes all activities at the center. Some fees are predicated on a sliding scale fee basis and the Area Agency on Aging subsidizes some. Some clients are referred through the Home Care Corporation in this area - Old Colony Elderly Services, Inc. To apply or for further information contact:
