The Town of Hanson (pop. 10,000) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of full-time Health Agent. This salaried, supervisory, department head position serves as the Health Code enforcement officer under the supervision of the Town Administrator and Board of Health and serves as a key member of the Town’s inspectional services, public health and emergency preparedness team.
The Health Agent is responsible for assuring compliance with State and local health codes and regulations, supervision of a full-time administrative assistant and coordinating the activities amongst various local inspectors. Title V certification is required. Must also possess excellent communication and administrative skills. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in many areas of health-related issues and be willing and able to work in a team environment. Supervisory experience preferred.
