Town of Hanson Building Department

The Hanson Building Department evaluates and approves construction plans, issues permits, performs on-site inspections and enforces the Massachusetts State Building Code, Electrical and Plumbing codes, and adheres to Hanson Zoning and General Bylaws.

The mission of this office is to ensure compliance with all State and Town Guidelines. The Building Inspector is charged with the task of issuing notices and/or orders to remove or adjust unsafe or illegal conditions.

We strive to ensure the public safety, health, and welfare of Hanson’s Community through the administration and enforcement of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Town of Hanson Bylaws as they relate to the construction and occupation of buildings and structures.

Our goal is to provide quality service to our community in an effort to safeguard life, health, property and public welfare by regulating the constriction and use of all buildings and structures within the Town of Hanson
