Community Power Program

Hanson Community Power is an electricity supply program in development by the Town of Hanson to provide residents and businesses with new, Town-vetted options for electricity supply. Hanson Community Power does not replace National Grid, the electric utility in Hanson, which continues to deliver your electricity, repair power outages, maintain the electricity grid and manage all billing.

On the Hanson Community Power website - HansonCommunityPower.com - you can read more in-depth information about the program and follow the program development timeline.  There is also a form to get in touch with the program organizers and offer your feedback or residents may call, Good Enegry at 781-236-4280 or Direct Energy at 866-968-8065.

Before the program's launch, the Town of Hanson will launch an extensive public outreach and education campaign to ensure that the community is aware of the program. The program is open to electricity customers in Hanson – whether they are a resident, a business, a renter, or an owner.

An informational meeting will be held at the Hanson Police Station, 775 Main Street, Monday, April 22, 2024 at 6:00pm.
