Hanson Fire responds to structure fire at 7 Hanson Court

Hanson Fire Department responds to Structure Fire at 7 Hanson Court.

Hanson, MA (November 13, 2021) –   At 06:14 hrs. on Saturday November 13, 2021 the Hanson Fire Department was dispatched by the Regional Old Colony Communications Center (ROCCC) for a report of a structure fire at 7 Hanson Court. Deputy Chief Robert O’Brien was first on scene and requested the working fire assignment. The first arriving crew was able to knock down the fire and performed a primary search which confirmed that the house was unoccupied. Crews were assisted at the scene by engine companies from Halifax and Pembroke Fire. Whitman Fire provided station coverage.

Fire, smoke and water damage was extensive throughout the house which is uninhabitable. Estimate on damage is approximately $300,000. There were no injuries. All crews cleared the scene at 11:03 hrs.

This fire is being jointly investigated by the Hanson Fire and Police Departments, as well as the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
