HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Hanson Water Department will be continuing their flushing program tomorrow, October 21, 2021 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

Flushing will begin on Winter Street (at Stonebridge Drive) and continue down Winter Street to Whitman Street.  As always; please avoid doing any laundry during the flushing hours as water could become discolored and potentially stain clothes.  Flushing of the hydrants is important as it minimizes the build up of minerals; and other sediments in the water mains; and allows us to verify the fire hydrants are working properly for fire protection.

Also; please note that streets in the general vicinity of the flushing area could also experience some discolored water even though we may not be directly on your street.  As always; we appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time.
