WATER RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT

The Hanson Water Department would like to notify Hanson customers that water restrictions will be in effect starting May 1, 2023.  The Water Department is required by our Water Management Act, to enforce these restrictions which are necessary to protect the public drinking water supply and streamflow for aquatic life.

Therefore; water restrictions are as follows: From May 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023; watering hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with hand held hoses only.  SPRINKLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED UNLESS YOU HAVE A PRIVATE WELL FOR IRRIGATION.

ENFORCEMENT:  These restrictions are enabled by Article 3-15 of the Hanson By-Laws.

Any person who violates this By-Law, shall be given a written warning for the first violation, and shall be liable to the Town in the amount of $50.00 for the second violation, and $100.00 for each subsequent violation.
