HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Water Department will be flushing hydrants on Monday, May 17, 2021 (weather permitting).  Flushing will be between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M.  We will be continuing down Indian Head Street towards Indian Trail and Indian Path which will also be flushed.

As always, we like to remind residents to avoid doing laundry during fhe flushing of hydrants as the water can become discolored and potentially stain laundry. The flushing of hydrants serves two purposes;  one to minimize the build-up of mineral and other sediments in the water mains and two; to allow the Water Department to verify the fire hydrants are working properly and are readily available for fire protection.

Also; please be aware that streets in the general vicinity of the flushing could experience some discolored water even though we may not be directly on your street.  As always; we appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
