WATER DEPARTMENT SPRING FLUSHING

The Hanson Water Department will begin its Spring Flushing Program the week of April 1, 2024.  Work will be scheduled Monday through Thursday 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. (weather permitting).   Hydrant flushing is done to remove iron and manganese deposits that collect on the walls of water mains.  Please be aware during the flushing of hydrants; residents may experience discolored water; and therefore we suggest you try and refrain from doing laundry during the hours of flushing.  Even if we are not on your street; you can still experience discolored water if we are in your general vicinity.
